Hey ho, a public beta is here. This isn't the complete 1.2 version, but I thought you might give it a try. Look out for bugs and report your findings here. The feature list is pretty much the same as I wrote earlier. The exe file should replaced with a new one and a new fonts folder should appear in the language folder. NOTE: Do not link to this file. I'll remove the file when the final 1.2 version is ready and public. Few other notes as well: Launching the game from command line with command 'PK2 log' the game writes a log of what it is doing. If the game doesn't start and crashes, making the game print a log might help to solve the problem. Those of you who are using the Level Editor: The area where sprites area active was relative to the resolution of the screen in 1.1 version. In version 1.2 the area is static 1280x960. In tiles it's 40 wide and 30 high. Also, if you are adding additional stuff to your episode like tilesets, music or background images, put them in the episode folder, not in the game's own folders. But do this when you release your episode, since the editor can't load additional files from episode folder. I'm sure I forgot to mention something... Oh, there comes a Russian translation and cyrillic letters (made by Leif) with the package to demonstrate the new font system.

I was expecting those cyrillic letters much and I have to say I'm dissapointed from Leif's work. He is converted only some of the letters. While I want to make a translation, I have to make some of the letters in english and some in cyrillic. This is much confusing me and it takes a lot of work to do. And I have to run the game every time to see if I'm doing all this right... So I probably won't make any cyrillic translation (like somebody cares).
I'm not sure, but I found that my manual is from version 1.1 and it's without working pictures.
Did you change anything in the jumping system or someting in the gameplay? Because there is something wrong. I try to play on my bounus map from iv4n islan 1 (map 04) and the goodies fall in completly different and wrong order!
Otherwise I don't find any bugs or problems so far.

I got it! Because I play at 800x600, I was made my bonus level best suitited for this resoultion. Now, when you change the active sprites area to 1280x960, this affects worse to my level. Now it's unusable to be played with this version .

It works. That with the sprite activity is good. Could it be that the clock is relative to the CPUs Speed. Players reclaim small time in my levels but I myself need often only 30%-60% of the time I gave to solve the level. What about the sprites ? What are they like....

More Epsiodes to play with one copy. GREAT JANNE ! ;D No more 5 copies on it ! (Now 3 ..... 1 normal and backup , 2 for experiments.)

After first install, the game crashed and took a lot of CPU-power. But at second try it worked well.
Concerning all selection pages, it would be cool if the mouse-cursor was not there, because now you can easily select an entry with arrow keys. On the map selection page, my suggestion would be: left/right arrows flip the pages with all maps, up/down arrows select one map.
everything else: fine ;)

I have a request for the next version which, I think, can be easly implemented. Make unlimited save slots. Something like you did with the episodes. Or at least double them.
In the selection of the episode, when there are more than 2 pages, you can make some more improvements. For example, if we have 3 pages, while you are at the page one, by pressing the left button to take you at page 3.
And I still don't understand how the episodes are sorting. I suggest you to make them to be sorted by date or by name which can be chooseble by player.
Also for the new version. I wonder why sometimes you have to press enter and some time you have to press spacebar?
Why everytime in the new game menu it writes always the default name (i.e. Pekka)? I mean in the previous version when I start as Iv4n, the game remember this name and always start with it.
I've experienced a bug. It's more with the editor probably. I have start a new level and everything was doing well, untill I place a bomber bat. It's just that in the game the bomb bat don't throw any bombs! Neither do the violet bomber bat. I delete these sprites, add them again, but there is no effect. The other enemyes seems to work fine. Any suggestions? Help? So far this level isn't that big work at all, but I don't want to loose the done so far.

It's just that in the game the bomb bat don't throw any bombs! Did you add the bomb sprite?

There is no need to add this sprite. I'm sure about it because it worked in my other levels.

There is no need to add this sprite. I'm sure about it because it worked in my other levels. Its best to load all related sprites due to the fact I discoverd that the automatic does only work sometimes. The only sprite doing always is the naked rooster !
