Hi, I do not know if this is a quite right forum, but I post here because I use some graphics from the pekka kana 3. I have been working quite long time of this little web project and thought I share a screenshot of its current status. I wouldn't call it even alpha. It is made with javascript and new HTML5 elements. Supported browsers are firefox, chrome and opera. Thou I haven't tested it with opera yet. Attachments:

Oh. Seven, you're alive! So this is going to be kind of a browser game? I'm looking forward to it getting finished. Seems to be great job, but those bats (that seem PK2 bats) are quite messy...

Well I have developed this game now more than year and it works ok with older browsers. I use canvas and audio tags. Only browser that is not supported is IE, but the new IE9 should support it. Yeah the bats and some other elements are totally ripped from pk2, they are there kind of to be placeholders. New pekka kana character is made by Janne

Here is some live action preview:
In the video you can see the mouse controlled gameplay: clicking the side of pekka makes it walk to that direction. clicking over its head makes it jump to that direction.
Video is made using google chrome. It runs the game smoothly.

Hmm, looks pretty cool, but I don't think I'd like the mouse-controlled gameplay. Anyway, it's cool to hear you're actually working on it.

Mouse controlling is only optional. Problem is that example firefox doesn't always register all the keyboard commands especially if the load in the page is big. Opera handles the keyboard movements best. Implementing mouse control in browser game is a little must I think and same kind of controls can be used in touch screen also. The tehniques I am using in the game allows this to be played also in mobile devices. At least it runs in my N900. poorly but it runs. Iphone support could be implemented also.

I personally do not use Mugquire muself. I hate it. So I suggest that the webisode not be just a Facebook game.
