About the resolution what I wanted to do is make it 854x480, then the screen will be 16:9 and it don't will increase the game view more than the 800x600, but now it still the 640x480. I will make a next release with these features: -Game screen 854x480 (16:9) -Different musics support (including .mp3) -A episode can hold up to 100 levels -Better music loop (I will try) -Some other things
--- Edit: somebody have a episode with more than 50 levels? It will help a lot.

Radjh and Kiolp have Joined Forces that are currently in three pieces because of the map limit but if you combine all three it should have over 50 maps.

Used some random file hosting, will be deleted after 30 days. Here is Joined Forces as one episode with 51 levels. linkIt's slightly different from previous relase, I am currently making some bug repairs and small modifications in the levels. When I will finish what-I-am-doing-in-pk2-right-now, I will send the full pack to pk2lib. The pack contains only map files. To play them you need other resources from "Rajdh&Kiolp Complete Saga" available at pk2lib dropbox (maybe, I heard that dropbox stopped working on public folders, is is true?). I recommend to install my episodes on version where is no other user resources, because Im using some graphics from old mapstore episodes (Iv4ns/Kalans) which collide with recently uploaded here unofficial-official pack.

One thing that really annoys me - It won't remember I have to set it to full screen every single time I start it.
Also, I don't what causes this, but on Factory 1, when I got the ice egg, i didn't know what it did, so without moving I used it, and was teleported onto the top of the map. I went to the left and ended in a pit, and was able to use the egg while at the wall to go back to the top of the map.

WOOOOOOO A FUNCTIONAL REMAKE OMG YOURE THE BEST! Haha, time to be normal again, this is a huge undertaking in the history of PK2! Thank you so much for working hard on it and porting PK2 to SDL! I feel like you have already received a lot of opinions on your work, and while I had some things on my mind which haven't yet been listed here, I'm planning on making a full, blown-out list of personal suggestions, and maybe a summation of what everyone else has said, so you can look at my post as a go-to. .

SUGGESTIONS!!!!!11!!(ordered according to simplicity and how easily it can be implemented) Note: These are just suggestions, feel free to ignore them, but we have a lot of passion about PK2 and I personally think this is a huge undertaking in the history of PK2, something which can make PK2 great again and be played by many people. I tried to make games before and I know how hard it becomes, but please, consider how you can affect everyone and change the state of this forums. Thank you for actually taking your time to do this. - Make remake more Windows-Friendly(Switching to other applications, being able to click Close button to close PK2 instantly) - Music doesn't loop correctly - Graphical shimmer in some backgrounds - Multiple sprites calling the sound API causes SDL to only provide some sound (10 chickens clucking, you only hear 1/2). This may be an SDL limitation - Bring back the 'developer info', when pressing I key, a lot of info about game should be visible Picture- Can't press more than 2 keys at once - Make text/buttons more easily clickable? - Bring back the settings menu and make it more standalone - Make sprite rendering more flexible (default sprite rendering range 1366x768 and make sprite rendering choice dependent on level data) - Increase sprite limit (should be plausible since this remake is based on 2017, with stronger CPU's/GPU's) Maybe 1000? 1500? Hahaha XD - Stretch the background to game resolution (even in nolimits mode) - No limits mode to play at actual resolution without scaling??? (haha being able to see the entire map with a 4k monitor) - STATISTICS(Distance ran by Pekka, flied by Pekka, # times jumped, # enemies killed # doodle fired, time spent, etc) - Resolutions 16:9 AND 4:3, 4:3(Original, 640, 800, 1024) is important (854x480, 1366x768, upscale to larger resolutions) - Faster in game score count, keep current tens, and hundreds counting time same, but make the graphical counter count thousands at 1 per second) + ENTER key to skip counting immediately - Make sprites more powerful? (being able to interact with game UI, maybe an in game item like minimaps, and being able to differentiate enemy and friendly sprites more easily; Teams? Of sprites? 4 teams, configurable whether teams collide or pass through, take damage or not, ask the community for more ideas! the possibilities are endless) - Set Level 0 to be 'bonus levels' which can be accessible by accomplishing challenges, or beating the episode (or obtaining a sprite, make em more powerful pls) - Integrated Level Editor(this is the lowest priority, we have many editors already)

At the end of the year I'll work on these ideas, because for now I don't have much time. I 've compiled a second version with some features, like playing .mp3 and .ogg music, used the 800x480 resolution, up to 100 levels on episode, load levels with command line, etc. Here is the file.

This is an amazing project! However, I found a few slightly annoying things in this new version. Sound effects play after a small delay and sometimes some sounds aren't played. Weather effects don't work for me (It doesn't rain in Rainy Forest). The mouse cursor also moves pretty fast. Looking forward to seeing the project being updated.

I was playing in the full screen mode, then I changed the language from English to Portuguese and the screen went to the 854x480 (I believe) size. Right now the screen doesn't show the timer and the number of keys if needed in each level. What can I do?

Hello everyone, at the past days I've working in the Pekka Kana 2 source code, and the fist thing I wanted to do was to port it to run 100% in modern systems using SDL2. As I said before I've created a fork in Samuli's GitHub repository as you can see here. After some changes and bug fixes in the code, the game can work well in Widows and Linux system now. I've compiled a Windows version and put it in this download link, it was tested just in my system, so if you see something strange please contact me. Also, SDL2 is a cross platform library, so with some small changes it can run perfectly in systems like Android, iOS, etc. And if you have good ideas for the game, please say me that I will try to add this in the source. Also, you can commit or fork the git repository with something that you think is interesting. It really works beautifulllly!!! Love you, my dear friend!^^ <3333

Happy new year for all!
So I've installed the PK2 new version nearly a year ago. Today I tried to load any of the normal levels and the game crashed immediately after. Any idea of what could be happening?

Maybe the issue is related to Windows itself, under Win 7 32-bit works fine for me. I had very bad memories with Win 8 a 8.1, because it refused to run any version of PK2 with message "this application is incompatible with recent Windows version" - I couldn't even disable that crap back then (maybe I didn't checked control panel with enough attention I guess). One of main reasons I've downgraded my PC to Win 7, I'm not sure how PK2 works with Win 10 case (I didn't tried it yet).
