Well, so far there is one sprite editor under way. Unfortunately, according to the author, the editor is going to be usable only in Windows 2000 OS.
I thought that I'd publish the Sprite specification in case someone else is interested doing an editor as well. The specs include C++ sources for saving and loading a PK2 sprite class. The specs also include a dummy class used in saving and loading.
This really makes me wanna learn more about game programming , it's something that I've always thought I'd love to do but then I acually start looking into the things you need to learn to build a decent game and it causes me to drop the whole silly idea , hold people like Janne in the highest regard and pray that they are kind enough to include a fairly easy level editor in their game. Until anyone stops and seriously looks at game programming and the work it had to take to build something as nice and as playable as Pekka Kanna II then you never really will realize what an awesome thing it is to have this game given to us as freeware . Dont worry , I'm not just kiss up to Janne , but to all the programmers that do such quality work and then just give it to us netizens because their ideals lead them too . There are several freeware programmers that have heard this same rant outta me over the years , I think sometimes we all should stop and say thanks , nobody owed us this gift ! K , putting away the soap box now , sorry :-0
Hey, Janne, I have an idea about a new attack - a Laser-Doodle! Goes fast and long, byt also can kill Pekka, too. Not too good, not too bad, yeah? Or are you too busy? I mustn't trouble you And is "Robo-Pekka" a bad idea?
