I have idea, you are java programmers? If you know j2me you can write Pekka Kana 1 for mobile phones (it's have low resolution, maybe 320x240) and maybe it will working. This will be best platformer for phones, and you have your old levels and graphics from PK1 in PCX files. Isn't good idea?

Another idea. Pekka Kana 2 is written in C++. This programming language is working on Pocket PC's. I think it's not too hard to convert PK2 to work in Windows Mobile, (change resolution to 320x240, adding screen buttons for actions)
Edit: I thought like that, but now it's clear that it's really hard. Will try it some time though. Not for Windows Mobile.

Please write anything that you know about PK1. Any values, even in primitive form like: max Pekka hp was 350 but he started with 20 Pekka's max jump height was 5px. or gravity units and how sprites where working. like you know, "sprites position was defined by top left corner" and any hints (idk how wolf acts, is it random? And how much "random" were the random values)
All for max compatibility with old PK1 and it's levels with probability add new levels. I'll study java programming on it
