xyard: Don't worry, just practice more at English and you'll get better eventually. Your bad English is excused (mostly). Rajdh: Piotrulos is right, FRAPS should work well, just don't forget to transcode/convert the output file to a different format - that'll reduce the quality of the video, but the file size should become small enough for YouTube's restrictions. Read these for more information on what YouTube accepts as "good formats" for videos: Also potentially useful: P.S. Also note when uploading to YouTube: the video files that you upload should be no larger than 2GB and no more than 10 minutes in length. That's why many uploaders split a lengthy video and post it as a series of separate videos (part 1/3, part 2/3, part 3/3, etc), each providing links to the other parts of the series in its description box. I hope this helps you when making, converting and uploading PK2 video map (episode) walktroughs, Rajdh.

With free version you only can take 30 sec clips.

OK, I'm back. I've "heard" that pk2lib.wordpress.com/ was deleted and you moved the whole site to pk2lib.netai.net/. Some words of criticism - those animations make the site lag too much; I'd personally delete them. Most of the images on the right are useless, too. You would say - "aesthetics"; I say - "bad". What about Fraps - Fraps is okay, but it makes clips that are huge as hell. Dot.

It's free server and animations don't slow server. Before TEO add animations this site was slow as it is now. What do you want from free server, free hostings always is slow.

Yup. I agree with piotrulos. Animated GIF pictures don't make the site lag - not by being too big if you mean that. We can't do anything, it is slow sometimes but we can always have a payed host. But we need money for that.

@teo, piotrulos and lsudny: Yeah, free hosting is like free beer - it could be served warm or it has leaks in its glass. Paid hosting is always better, but we must have money to pay for that, which won't happen anytime soon I'm afraid. @all: About the .GIF images: well, they don't lag the website loading that much, but it's best to keep the number of animated images to a minimum, just in case that hurts our website bandwidth limit. BTW, what happened to you, lsudny? You disappeared for quite some time and we had to restore and move PK2lib since the old URL got deleted for some unknown reason. I'll try to be online in Skype tonight, let us all (the 4 of us) meet and chat then, if you can.

I didn't tell you? I was on vacation.
But I don't think that those images have some aesthetic value, so I'd delete them. They're just annoying (or even frustrating).
Google AdSense!
PS.

@lsudny: I'm also against too much animated images, but just a few won't cause such a big problem, at least that's what I hope. Google AdSense, hmm, we as pk2lib staff should consider using it, but not too much. @radjh: Look at these short instructions for creating a video walkthrough for PK2 maps - pk2lib.netai.net/?page_id=220 .

Thanks for the episode submissions, Rajdh! One of the PK2lib staff members will fully test them and if they work fine, they'll be added to PK2lib's EpisodeDB immediately after the test. This may take some time (because testing is essentially playing through the entire episode), but we'll eventually publish your episodes after testing them, don't you worry.
