I have finished the two first levels. They weren't very hard. It's weird that I have still completed them because I'm lazy to try again etc. But yes, I liked them. Now I'm in that city level which Pekka has granades. They're fun.

It was a huge problem because flash missiles are the best of new sprites in this episode and 10th level is nothing without them. Good, we have new pack

How about a simple utility that could read sprites/resources from the map, let you choose non-standard (non-vanilla) ones and pack them into one archive (along with the map)? Also, congratulations for marq. That last post of yours was not only intelligible, but also way more grammar-correct than the previous ones.

I write you how Its looking when I packed this. 0. Create the root folders. 1. Checked which tiles, music, gfx I used in episode. 2. Write in notebook (real item not program) names this elements. 3. Packed to folders only this which I write in notebook. 4. Packed to folders my Pk2stuff 5. Open lvl edit press F4 and checked general sprites list. 6. Write in notebook sprites which i used in episode. 7. Close lvl edit and open sprite edit. 8. Checked All sprites in sprite edit. I looking for linked sprites (bot ammo, bonuses after defeat etc.) 9. Write in notebook checked sprites. 10. Checked wav and bmp those sprites. 11. Write in notebook. 12. Packed only data which I wrote in notebook. 13. Packed levels and MAP.bmp. 14. When I checked all I use IZArc If you have better idea please explain me precisely.

I could write up a program that extracts sprite and resource info from the map(s) you select (and sprites, so that it could pack bitmaps), then it would let you (de)select the things that are included in original PK2 release (or I could just put whitelist, so it would uncheck them by default), then it would either put it in some folder of your choice or zip it for you. Way less time wasted on packing, and less errors.

If you can write that program I will be happy. When I create Gs4 I have problems with packing (over 200 (9000) sprites). That program will be very helpfully. But I am not very good programmer. If you have time and power to write that program ... way is open.

Well, then I'll see what I can do (I hope that the entire forum wasn't waiting for this post to continue discussion). It doesn't seem complicated, I'll try to work on it as soon as I've got a bit of time. Also, I'd like you (all) to help with design/layout of the app, after I have something useful (since it's going to look bad).

When packing episodes is not necessary to enter the level editor and sprite editor. FilesĀ *.map and *.spr can be opened in notepad. Just drag and drop. There is described what files are needed for the proper functioning and not change anything in the files because they can be damaged, but you can do a quick preview.
