Never liked the original one, but your experiments are really interesting. What program did you use and how you can continue to respect suitable colour palette? I got some unusual backgrounds with some episode I downloaded ages ago As quoted above, they aren't mine, I don't have the slightest idea

Same as the blue cave and the orange factory based on the original ones. Maybe is a GIMP work...

Speaking of weird color glitches, this background makes it look like your on Acid. It's mad. It makes it look like this:

Destroying bosses while you're a frog is a really original idea. The only thing that I don't like is the minimalistic tileset...

Agreed, some of the tilesets are rather minimalistic, and for that I apologize. I've never really attempted to create tilesets that would look fantastic, for me it's just copypasting/streching/flipping/rotating tiles made by other people. I aim to have decent looking tilesets but for me, they really aren't the top priority, as I don't play the game for the graphics

Are you creating this episode with the awareness of the fact that a player frog can destroy a 0-weighted enemy just walking through him? :DDD

Just to let you know what's the current situation: Got 75% of the episode ready (37/50 levels), got the levels 44-50 pretty well planned out, expecting to release the episode sometime mid/late July

In the second screen I see that points and keys are indicated with blue numbers. Why? I got some unusual backgrounds with some episode I downloaded ages ago, pick any of the 4 "Jupiter2" - Jupiter4" and the whole level gains a weird coloured hue both in the editor and in-game. Could just be some graphical glitch, but hey, they can be used to make the levels look more interesting so I'm all good with that If you think that is a "glitch", you clearly don't understand the palettes. In that case, I'd suggest you head into this thread.

They're awesome! I'll try them out! How did you manage to put MC textures in PK2? XD My level editor crashes when I try to load 32-bit images, guess you converted 'em?

Yeah pretty sure I just converted some block textures into .bmp and copypasted them on to an existing tileset, which expectedly resulted in the colours being way off. Doesn't really matter since I only used a few blocks that I thought would look good in the level I'm using them in, wasn't aiming to make a full level with perfect Minecraft looks

Just a little status update, Frogventures is still in the works, I've just been low on motivation lately and couldn't get the episode ready for the planned late July date. 44/50 done so still got 6 levels left to make and test. I'll try to pick up the pace and have the episode released fairly soon, going to post another update closer to the release

Well your working time is pretty fast anyway so that isn't a big problem at all.
