Big thanks for working on this. Personally I would like to see the score made useful, something along the lines of tiles/sprite blocks that would require a specific amount of score to get rid of.

Yeah, one idea was to unlock the secret level(s), if the player reaches a certain amount of points.

I've been away for a while because of my issues and busyness so I'm not really sure if level names can be named longer in custom level editors than in vanilla one, or does the original code has the limitation for names. Either way I would add it to the suggestion list.

Nice to see you're back!
Adding longer level names and updating the infobox is planned. The image of that infobox only works on RI1's MAP.BMP.
The length of the level name is limited to 40 characters.

Yeah, the name of the tileset is limit to 12 characters. This includes the ".bmp". This is a limitation of the original game, that I plan to remove in a future version.

If the tileset has more than 12 characters it's not going to load, yes. It should work when the file name is 12 characters.
Could you list a few levels that don't work correctly?

The game first looks in the episodes/-episode/gfx/tiles folder for the tileset, then in gfx/tiles. No other folders.
I haven't worked on the CE for a while, so I'm not sure about the state of this "official" version. I have worked on it since it's release, but I can't remember what I added, at the moment, but I know this works correctly in the current development version.

I would be great if those two were the final ones, huh. It seems after those two being repaired, the original game is then actually perfectly ported, isn't it? I wish, lol. No, there are still a few more bugs, but that's okay, I can fix all these bugs, it just takes a bit of time and effort. Getting good feedback really helps me get motivated to fix those bugs, because I can see people are interested in and using this project. Glad to hear that PekaED works now! That fix was only one line of code, funnily enough. I can give you the current development build, but there is still some unfinished stuff in there, that might look like it's broken. I'll get to work fixing these things and release a new version soon, anyway, though. So, keep looking for bugs and reporting and playing and stuff, it really helps! Edit: The missing tileset bug is apparently fixed in the current development version. I tested it with the dev and the 0.1.2, it only happened in 0.1.2.

Updates! DownloadChangelogAnd here is the PekaED version, for this version of the CE. I've put a folder in the "episodes" folder, with a few levels that show you how to use the secret level stuff, but I'll update the PekaED manual to explain everything in detail later. If you want to use these new features, you'll have to set the "Rules" to "C.E.", in PekaED.

NOTE: To anyone that currently uses 0.1.6 and creates levels for it with the latest PekaED version, please don't save your map in CE mode, but in Legacy or Enhanced. I'm currently working on a new map file format and that was unfortunately left unfinished in this current release. This will of course be fixed with the next release of the CE and PekaED.
