I have a broblem. How can I create - or convert - voices, which can be used in sprites? When I just create a sound in .wav-format and make it for instance damage voice, it sounds horrible. It's only noise. And if I copyed one of original (Janne's) sounds (eg. apple.wav) and rename it and open it in some program (eg. Nero wave editor) and then cut it away and paste my own creation instead of it, the program would say that they are in differend format. Okay, thats scrappy, forget it. But how can I make voices of sprites?
Sorry for making a new topic, but there are so many of them... I think that's OK...

I just converted preexisting WAVs from other games in a 8-bit and mono way. But how can you create other sounds? Can you tell me the name of the sounds created by yourself that I can find in my sprite directory?

Can you tell me the name of the sounds created by yourself that I can find in my sprite directory? If you are talkig about the chainsaw, I didn't ever actually use it. If you are asking how to generate sound in general, there are basically two ways: digital and analogue. You can record actual physical sounds and then modify them digitally or just digitally create sounds using software. The format PK2 requires for sound files other than music is 8-bit mono Windows PCM.
