I guess samples can not be ripped from module files.

Oh cool, I'm a music maker too :3
Well, I doubt you can rip single sounds from module files... I don't know.
I haven't got Q-Lat 2, but you can send the module file to me and I'll try to recreate that sound or something.

But .mp3 isn't using tracks system (like tracker files - .mod, .xm etc.), so that's pretty pointless.

Hi! I'm not sure if VLC can export the module files to working .mp3's, but one thing you can do to 'rip' the music is just to use a mobile phone's sound recorder program and record the particular sound that you want to an .AMR file. You can then transfer that file on to a computer and then to convert the .AMR file to an .mp3 (just google for such a free converter program) or some other popular music format and use it. The recording should be done in absolute silence (no or little background noises) and with the PC's volume set to the maximum while playing the module song, so that the mobile phone recording is better in terms of quality, although there will definitely be some quality deterioration in comparison to the original module file. However, the tracks-specific features of the original file will be completely lost, only the sound itself will be available. P.S. Perhaps openmpt.org/ might be your best bet at 'ripping' parts of that file. Also check this thread: forumopenmpt.org/index.php?topic=4689.msg37931;topicseen#new..

I am glad, someone took his time and did this, even though it is only .mp3 and not a module track, but thank you. Duck 'n Play is definitely the best one, I could listen to that all day (If I had the time ), so it immediately comes to my mobile music folder. EDIT: Oh, wait! But the module tracks exist! They are just in the folder "MUSIC" of Q-Lat 2 install folder. File format is .xm and I have never noticed. Sometimes I am just shocked how stupid I can be.
