Nice to see submissions already coming in!
I have two question to you guys.
Could you add screenshots of your level to your posts, so people can get an idea for it? Would you mind if I compile your level/sprites/etc. in one "Map Competition #1" level pack, so people can download all the level at once? If you don't mind please give a quick agreement, if you don't, don't post anything or say you don't agree.

My submission for this contest! I don't mind if you compile the levels.
Here are two screenshots, this old haunted crypta is full of ghosts and vampires hunting for your blood, so better watch out.

The competition is over! Thanks to everyone that submitted their level, we got a few very good levels. They were all a lot of fun to play and hopefully to create, too! You can now vote on your favorite level. The poll will end next Friday, where the winner will be announced. You can find the map pack here: Map pack download

I played all four levels and personally I liked Lava Mine the most. The general structure and design really fits the theme plus the level and the boss were quite challenging. I also like that hidden secret where you could get about 2000(?) points I believe, don't remember the exact amount. Two minor things, I didn't like that you almost couldn't see where the ground was after first teleport (btw these elevator teleports are a really nice idea too) and not a single feather in the entire level (at least I didn't found one) was a bit too harsh in my opinion. Still beat it in the second try so it wasn't brutal but still. I liked the other levels too, my personal ranking would look like this: 1. Lava Mine 2. Forest tunnel 3. Chazestle 4. Ratch's Underground Level (5.) Cursed Crypta - Of course I can't consider my own level into this.

All of the maps I have played are equally as good as each other, it's a very hard choice XD. I would have preferred the polling to be on a survey dedicated site like Straw Poll, to allow multiple votes, so the votes would closely represent not just the best map, but also the order of their quality, which is kind of important when very few people are making the vote. For now, - 'Chazestle' wins the 'Most beautiful map' award
- 'Lava Mine' is the hardest map of the bunch
- 'Forest Tunnel' is easily accessible, so almost everyone can win it/explore the entire map
Personally I like 'Chazestle' and 'Cursed Crypta', they are both very interesting

That's a very good point!
The next competition is going to have a better voting system. Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you everyone for entertaining me while I was at the office. I voted for the most underrated level of the pack because I found its gameplay so catchy. At the end of the poll I'll say what level I'm talking about...
