We all know Janne Kivilahti gave up on PK3, so I believe the only way PK3 would be done (if ever) would be if one of us was passionate and experienced enough to try to make PK3. I mean, to be honest, with the technology we have nowadays I believe it would not be that difficult? Pekka Kana is not a very complex platformer anyway, and the source code for PK2 was released, so we can use it as a guide to know how Janne made the physics and such.
There is one thing of course and that is copyright. I don't think Janne would mind but even then it's good to be sure. Is there any type of legal protection for Pekka Kana? If so, I believe the only way to get pass it would be talking to the man himself. I have no idea how this kind of legal garbage works but I really fear them.
I made a post 2 years ago asking if I should make a post of all things I would like to see in a sequel to PK2, but it seems no one really cared about it. If this thread gets enough attention I might consider making it, otherwise why bother.

I would be glad, and honored to help with things that I can do, like sprite making/ music making/ level design, etc.
But I would need someone that can program and do everything else, we need to work on this together guys, if any of you are interested, join the team and let's make PK3 real!
