So don't speed up with the "I'll make a custom theme soon" - we'll eventually get to that point, but first we have to find some money to buy the aforementioned upgrade if we're going to delve into customizing the CSS (essentially, that means the website's visuals). FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Ok. First we'll host it in WP and when we find a free host with same free features AND custom HTML/CSSwe'll move, right? If so, I agree. And if we want some money, I suggest AdSense. We'd get money when someone clicks an ad in the site. Buuuuuuut... is that possible in WP?

And if we want some money, I suggest AdSense. We'd get money when someone clicks an ad in the site. Buuuuuuut... is that possible in WP? Yes, that's what I mean. On the topic of AdSense - no, it's not allowed to make money from WP.com-hosted blogs in any way, including adding ads. Guys, have you checked this? Yes, we have - that's (WordPress.org) the website of the open-source WordPress blogging platform itself. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two diffrent things you see - WP.org is the download center & instructions database for the free open-source blogging/CMS platform WordPress, while WP.com is a free blog hosting service offered by WP's creators which is a bit limited in features compared to the self-hosted WP installation on your paid hosting server. Unlike WP, Blogger blogs are almost always hosted by Google. You can't host a WordPress blog there, that's just for downloading a WP package for installating elsewhere. In other words, you either go with a paid full-host outside WP.com OR use the free hosting (but stripped of some features) of WordPress.com OR do as we do - first we host it in WP.com and when we find a free host with same free features AND custom HTML/CSS, we'll move. I hope that clears things up. If not, read these: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weblog_softwareen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collaborative_blogen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_hosting_service (types of hosting) @lsudny and TEO: The new URL is now live - pk2lib.wordpress.com/ . Go create yourselves a profile at wordpress.com and tell me the profile's name, so that I can add you as site admins/mods (you decide).

This WP.org means we can have a free WP blog in some free server with source code editing. Or so my friend told me, here's his blog/site made by WordPress and hosted by 000webhost.com (comxa.com server). And both online? Could we organize some chat or something? EDIT: I register to PK2lib. EDIT2: Not online anymore... blaah. We should really get some chat or IRC channel or something.

Yes, but read my previous post here for details (I've modified it before you commented on it, but forgot to submit the changes before your comment). Also, free hosting is never safe enough and it offers limited and not very reliable file hosting and bandwidth. The best thing to do is to go with a full-scale (paid) hosting, but until we raise money for that, we can use WP.com's free hosting because of its ease of use and no server maintenance from our side, i. e. we'll remain at pk2lib.wordpress.com for the time being until we find some money to pay for a full-scale (paid) hosting OR move to a reliable free "full-hosting" (I don't recommend the last). Free "full-hosting" is unreliable, I've tried it before and it turned out to be worse than free blog hosting services - they latter have more reliable servers. Just saying. 000webhost.com's paid hosting, however, feels quite cheap and very good. P. S. You said you've registered, but without you telling me your WP.com username I can't add you (adding new blog co-authors requires adding their usernames), so please tell it to me, so that I can add you. Same goes for lsudny.

000webhost is free (at least for my friend, that's an only free server he coukd find at the time). But it sucks. It's always too busy and one time his database almost died...
But that was only an exemple. Its not a good server but I just showed you IT IS free... My friend is like myself - we aren't rich enough to pay for our sites. And that one is free, try to believe me. BUT THE SERVER SUCKS!
Ok... But sahwar, I did send you an email. But I forgot to put the username in it... I'm a stupid hedgehog. No, that's not my username, username is flyingevilone. My email is the one which sent you an email by TEO. But, like I said, if you feel mistrust, I can publish my email, just ask.
EDIT: Where the heck is Piste Gamez site hosted? That's just pistegamez.net... And I can't find any host by searching from source code, like the site would be somewhere in Piste Gamez' own server... I don't get it. And do Janne, seven and Xfactor pay for the site? BECAUSE if we used the same host as Piste Gamez site, that could be a success - at last. Should we ask?

Free hosting may suck but non-free hosting costs.

OK, anyway - we have new mapstore! Yeah! Sahwar, accept me on Jabber, btw. Oh, by the way. I think that order of links in the top of the page should be that: Home / Episodes / Resources (resdb) / Send / Staff (apply for staff) / About / Disclaimer It's cleaner and ordered.

Yeah, I agree - free hosting sucks almost always. Don't worry about paying the hosts of pk2lib if we move to paid full-hosting - I may some day get rich enough to afford 9-15$/month for hosting - then we'll move on to the said paid solution. But let's not dream too far in the future for now and concentrate on adding new episodes and episode reviews to the current version of pk2lib. @teo & lsudny: Thanks for telling me your WP.com user names - I'm in the process of adding you as admins (you'll be admins in a few minutes). I would like to participate in the proposed Jabber/XMPP chat - just tell me the name of the room when you create it, so that I can join in. @lsudny: Yeah, I think you've made a good point there - I agree that the order of pages proposed by you sounds better, so I'll arrange them in that order. Thanks for the good idea! EDIT: There's something wrong with your WP.com profile, lsudny, I tried to add your user name (lsudny) using your e-mail (I saw your e-mail from here on the forum). I've send you an automatic e-mail that tells you to register on the right place. If you're sure that you already have a WP.com profile, but with an e-mail different from "lsudny [at] gmail [dot] com" attached to it, then attach that e-mail to your profile. @teo: I trust you guys, don't worry - when you're a great PK enthusiast like you and me, I can only admire our dedication and fandom towards PK2, so I trust you. There could be some misunderstandings, but we seem to be able to resolve those via discussions, so I'm optimistic about our partnership to maintain pk2lib. Oh, about the hosting stuff: I don't know where PisteGamez.net is hosted, but I guess that they're using a paid full-host, since they have their own personal domain (and the website is not a subdomain of a free service). I wouldn't want to ask PisteGamez to host pk2lib - that would be a financial strain on Janne & Co.'s part and I don't want pk2lib to depend on other's generosity - it just doesn't sound as a honorable thing to do.

@lsudny: You're right, all is fine. It was my mistake - when I copied your e-mail address to the add member field, I forgot to take out the "mailto" part (it said "mailto [semicolon] lsudny@gmail.com") and that's why the WP.com system didn't process it. I fixed my error, and you're now a co-admin (together with me and TEO). P. S. I send an e-mail with instructions on where to register before I read your last post here (and understood my silly mistake while I was trying to add your username), just ignore or delete that e-mail.
